Astore Valley is located in Astore District in the Pakistani region of Gilgit-Baltistan. The valley is covered by snow in winter.
Astore valley with more than 100 villages and surrounding 5,092 sq. It is 120 km long of land. It lies on Gilgit’s southeast, and occupies Nanga Parbat’s east side (8,126), the magnificent point. This stunning, picturesque mountain valley is at 2,600 m above sea level. Chilam is the departure point for Deosai, the world’s second highest aircraft, among its villages. Also, the diverse climatic conditions and mesmerizing landscape make this valley of great importance to medically needed plants for the house.
