Tour Details
Origin of Sikh has its roots in Nankana Sahib. The founder of the Sikh faith, Guru Nanak Dev, was born here in 1469. The place name was Rai Bhoi di Talwandi at the time.Guru Nanak Dev’s contemporary  landlord was Rai Bular who was a devotee of the Guru himself. It was renamed after Guru Nankana.
It is situated in what is called the Nilianwali Bar (forest where nilgais are abundant), and is about 75  kilometers west-southwest of Lahore. Nankana Sahib is in the district of Sheikhupura,and is linked by rail and road to the district town.There are many shrines here connected to the memory of the childhood and early youth of Guru Nanak.
