Rush Lake Trek

Rush Lake is a high altitude lake situated in Gilgit Baltistan, near Rush Pari Peak in Pakistan,5,098 m    (16,726 ft). Rush is one of the world’s largest alpine lakes, at 4,694 metres.It is situated in the Nagar Valley about 15 km(9 mi) north of Miar  Peak and Spantik (Golden Peak).You can enter Rush Lake and Rush Peak through Nagar and Hopar and via the Hopar Glacier (Bualtar Glacier) and Miar Glacier,which rises from the peaks of Miar and Phuparash.The trek to the lake provides stunning Spantik, Malubiting, Miar Peak, Phuparash Peak and  Ultar Sar views.

This is one of the most popular treks for those who want a first time trekking experience with a long lived excitation.We travel on glaciers, through villages to see the real life of those living on footsteps of mighty glaciers, along irrigated terraced fields with spectacular views of the mighty Karakoram Mountains from the Rush Peak summit (5.098 m). It is the intersection of two renowned Barpu and Bualter  glaciers. It is noteworthy that local legends speak about the nature of these glaciers as being male and female as well as  their meetings and the birth of new glaciers as well.
